Fruteland Jackson, a nationally known blues musician, teacher, and historian, will discuss blues musicians from three influential areas in the United States—the Mississippi Delta, the East Texas Coast, and the Piedmont Region. Learn about the Great Migration, where some 6 million Black Americans moved away from rural Southern United States to the urban Northeast,Midwest and West, laying the foundations of Chicago Blues.
