Prior to 1920, women were largely denied the right to vote in the United States. Jeanne Schultz Angel, Associate Vice President of Naper Settlement, will discuss how female leaders in our state, such as Ellen Martin and Ida B. Wells, fought against sexism and racism for enfranchisement.
